This policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds to ensure you receive exactly what you need.
Return Eligibility
What Can Be Returned
Standard Items – Fully Refundable:
- Commonly ordered tefillin configurations
- Standard mezuzah scrolls
- Ready-to-ship accessories
- Items without personalization
Customized Items – 20% Restocking Fee:
- Uncommon tefillin configurations
- Specially requested mezuzah specifications
- Custom-sized accessories
- Items requiring special preparation or assembly
Non-Returnable Items:
- Items personalized with names or inscriptions
- Batim covers with custom engravings
- Mezuzah cases with personal dedications
- Items that have been used or worn
Condition Requirements
To be eligible for return, items must:
- Be in original, unused condition
- Include all original packaging and components
- Be free from damage not caused by shipping
- Include all documentation and certificates of authenticity
Return Timeframe
Standard Return Window
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return for eligible items.
Error-Based Returns
If there’s an issue due to our error, the 30-day limit doesn’t apply. We’ll make it right no matter when you contact us. Examples include:
- Incorrect item shipped
- Manufacturing defects
- Damage during shipping
- Items not matching your confirmed specifications
How to Initiate a Return

- Return authorization number
- Prepaid return shipping label (if error on our part)

Step 3: Package and Ship
- Pack items securely in original packaging
- Include the return authorization number
- Use the provided shipping label or your own carrier
- Keep tracking information for your records
Step 4: Inspection and Processing
Once we receive your return:
- Items are inspected within 2-3 business days
- You’ll receive confirmation of receipt
- Refund or exchange is processed accordingly

- Approved refunds: 5-10 business days to appear in your account
- Processing time: 2-3 business days after we receive your return
- Bank processing: Additional 3-5 business days depending on your financial institution

Refunds are issued to your original payment method:

Refund Amounts
- Standard items: Full purchase price minus original shipping (unless error on our part)
- Customized items: Purchase price minus 20% restocking fee

All Scribe Tribe products are covered for:

Warranty Period
- Tefillin: 1 year from delivery date
- Mezuzah scrolls: 1 year from delivery date
- Accessories: 90 days from delivery date

Special Circumstances
Damaged Shipments
If your package arrives damaged:
- Don’t refuse delivery (we need to file claims with carrier)

- We’ll arrange replacement or repair at no cost
Lost Packages
If your package is lost in transit:
- We’ll work with the shipping carrier to locate it
